Jeanette Frye McConaughy, age 94, passed away August 30, 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband John C. McConaughy who died in 1979. Mrs. McConaughy was born near Ostrander, Ohio and was the only child of Anna and Clarence Frye. She was a 1927 graduate of Bellpoint High and attended Ohio University from which she graduated with high honors. After teaching Latin and French for 25 years at Worthington High School, she retired in 1965 and was inducted into Worthington High School's Hall of Fame.
Mrs. McConaughy was a long standing member of the Worthington Presbyterian Church and the Worthington community. She will be missed by the many whose lives she touched and upon whom she had such a profound influence especially friends and caretakers Nancy Hooper Ganong and Martha Landenberger. Her life will be celebrated at a memorial service on September 15, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the Worthington Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Worthington 30 Year Alumnae Club and the Worthington Presbyterian Church.
