 | Shirley Dennis, 69, of Bruceville (Texas) passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at Bruceville Community Church with the Rev. Truman Hargrove officiating. Interment will follow at Eddy Cemetery under the direction of Cole Funeral Chapel, 304 Eighth Street, Moody. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cole Chapel. Mrs. Dennis was born Jan. 25, 1939, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Richard and Mary Ann (Keller) Mann and was a 1956 graduate of Worthington High School in Worthington, Ohio. On Aug. 17, 1957, she married W.A. Dennis in Gallup, N.M. She was a member of Bruceville Community Church, was active in the Women's Aglow and participated in the prison ministry. Survivors include her husband, W.A. Dennis; her mother, Bernadine Mann of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; son, Rick Dennis and wife, Monica of Tucson, Ariz.; two daughters, Roxanne Dunn and husband, Terry, and Cheryl Lagenor, both of Temple; brother, Richard Lee Mann and wife, Mary of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; two sisters, Anita Clark and husband, Calvin of New Albany, Ohio, and Tannis Dunlap and husband, Norval of Pataskula, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
