Remembering Robby - by Carl Wick Robby completed a BS and Masters degree and was a social worker consultant for many years with the State of Ohio Department of Health. He did a lot for many crippled children in the Columbus area.
I personally recall Robby loved sports. You no doubt recall that Robby served as the WHS basketball team manager all 4 years while in HS. He was the best too. Mr. Howell, I know, thought the world of Robby. He had a chance, I also recall, to go out for BB manager at Ohio State. I knew that he was going to make it but in the end he decided to not go out and instead focused on his studies.
I used to talk to Robby a lot about sports, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes, especially BB, & the Cincinnati Reds, two teams he loved. I was a Cleveland Indian fan in HS so we'd kid one another about the Reds and Indians. When I moved into the Dayton area in the mid-60s I became a Reds fan. I told Robby this many years ago. He laughed and said. "I told you so." He was pleased.
