 | Our class might have been the 1st into this two classroom pre-fab metal building which I recall being called the annex. It was 1948. My 5th grade teacher was Miss Koste. She was a 1st year teacher from OSU and one of the best teachers I had at Worthington. Eventually she became a full professor of elementary education at OSU. I believe she's still alive living in southern Delaware County. I also remember having a drinking fountain in the classroom. This was cool since none of the classrooms in the elementary building had one. However, we had to leave the annex and cross over to the main building to use a restroom. We used hooks on the wall for our coats. It always seemed cold in the winter. I think because the classroom doors opened directly to the outside. The annex was fun because it was different but one year was enough.
